COLOUR THERAPY: ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IT

You can see colours everywhere, in your home, garden, neighbourhood and city.  Colour therapy is a holistic healing modality that utilises energies within the living organisms, plants, crystals, gemstones, water, sound and sunlight to enhance your health, fight diseases as well as restore balance within your body.

What is Colour Therapy?
Colour therapy, also known as chroma therapy uses the visible spectrum of both light and colour that affects physical and mental health. Every colour falls into some specific frequency and vibration. This contributes to various properties that could be used to affect energy and frequencies in your body. Colour therapy is used in combination with other alternative and natural therapies like reflexology, aromatherapy and yoga.

How does it work?
The colours of rainbow are associated with energy centers or seven chakras of your body. Each energy center governs a specific organ and body processes as well as vibrates to a specific color. The root center (muldhara chakra) is related to red color, and cross-center (swadisthana chakra) to orange. The naval center ( manipura), heart center ( Anahata), throat center ( vishuddhi), third eye center (agya) and crown center ( sahasrara), are associated with yellow, green, indigo as well as violet respectively.

Each center is related to a particular gland. A proper use of colours helps in healing various ailments concerned. Any disturbance in these elements leads to an imbalance in the physical, mental and spiritual body that can be corrected by boosting the colour concerned.

How can Colour Therapy help?
All colours have a specific frequency, energy and wavelength. Chroma therapy provides you an opportunity to acknowledge colours that you interact with every day and use their properties that correspond to cells as well as organs in your body to improve health.

Disease means that your mind, body and spirit are deficient in some colours. Your lifestyle and stress can lead to shortage or improper use of colours in addition to your environment.
